Looking for a fun and educational way to engage your preschooler? The Busy Brains Activity Packs 3–4 Years Activity Cards are designed to make learning through play simple, enjoyable, and meaningful.
Created by an experienced Deputy Headteacher, these cards are based on child development research and carefully designed to support your child during a really important stage of growth.
At around three years old, children are developing rapidly in their language, imagination, social skills and independence. You may notice more complex sentences, lots of “why” questions, growing friendships, stronger preferences in play, and a big rise in imaginative and role play. This is also a key time for developing early maths awareness, physical coordination, and the ability to follow simple instructions.
With 31 double-sided activity cards covering literacy, maths, motor skills, communication, social skills, creative learning and more, each activity is aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage and designed to support these emerging skills in a natural, playful way.
Each pack includes colour photographs, icons showing how each activity links to the Early Years Foundation Stage, an egg timer symbol to show how long each activity takes to prepare, and even more activities per pack. Selected cards also include QR codes giving you access to extra online content and printable resources to use at home.
Updated in May 2026, this edition now also includes a more detailed milestone guide linked to each area of the Early Years Foundation Stage, updated activity ideas, and a clear information box on every card so you can quickly see exactly which skills each activity is supporting.
